Superhero Inspiration – 3 Life Lessons Learned from Superman/Batman: Public Enemies

Back in September of 2019, I re-watched the Superman/Batman: Public Enemies movie in honor of its 10-year anniversary.

In the aftermath of the movie, I began to remember how great the storyline was as well as the overall artistic appeal of the film.

Additionally, I decided that I should also come back to it and share with you guys some of the lessons learned in hopes that it will help you in your current journey towards success!

Superhero Inspiration – Beware of Deception

From the very beginning of this film, one could sense the level of deception taking place. For one, Lex Luthor was actually elected president despite his criminal past.

The next was, in the midst of all the so-called “Good” he was doing for the country, he had his own diabolical plans that were in the works.

It’s funny that most of the heroes that were working with him, truly believed that they were doing what was right and that it was for the good of everyone.

However, in this instance, Superman trusted his gut and went with his instincts, which proved to be right in the end.

On our journey, I do believe that we should give people a second chance if they are truly trying to better themselves and be a blessing to others.

However, if there is any hint of doubt or their actions are not matching their words then don’t fall for it.

The crazy thing is that deception wouldn’t be deception if you knew about it so these things are hard to catch, but you should always do your best to see what’s truly going on so that you can understand the big picture and move accordingly.

Superhero Inspiration – Keep Good Allies

If it wasn’t for Batman and Power Girl, Superman really would have had his work cut out for him. Luckily though, he’s managed to forge great relationships with them both to the point that they truly trust each other.

After Lex Luthor displayed the forged and clipped footage of Superman painting him as the murderer of Metallo, Power Girl automatically knew that something wasn’t right.

In her eyes, this was out of character and she needed to see Superman herself in order to confirm her suspicions.

In Batman’s case, he decided to immediately work with Superman to get to the bottom of the situation and clear his name.

In essence, we should frequently interact with the people that we consider our allies. When push comes to shove, it’s our character and how we treated each other that will build and sustain a strong bond between us.

Having good and trustworthy allies can get you a long way in the fierce battle of life. Adjacently, we should strive to be a good ally to our friends too because we’ll never know when they will truly need us.

Superhero Inspiration – Be Courageous Even When the World is Against You

Lastly, in the face of impossibility, with the world against you, always stand tall! If you believe something in your heart to be right then you have to stand for it no matter what.

Superman knew in his heart of hearts that Lex Luthor was sinister and was up to no good, yet no one else could see it.

Even in battle against both enemies and friends, Superman had to stand strong regardless of how it seemed.

Sometimes in our life, no matter how bad it seems and no matter what other people believe, we have to stand firm.

You must hold your own and push through until people can see the manifestation of your vision. You may be in an environment full of haters, dream stealers, and naysayers, but you must stand tall.

Your dream will never become a reality unless you make it happen.

Even if the entire world is against you, it is up to you to bring your vision, thoughts, ideas, or feelings to light.

We all face obstacles on this path, but we must remember that if we survive this battle, then we too can save our own world or universe just like Superman and Batman did in this movie!
