Superhero Inspiration – Lessons Learned from Justice League the Snyder Cut

So I watched the Snyder Cut a while ago and I must say that I was blown away!

As far as I’m concerned that original Justice League movie doesn’t exist and they should’ve just released this one to begin with.

With that said, understanding the circumstances we know that it was impossible, but I definitely would’ve enjoyed seeing the other 2 follow-up movies. A war with Darkseid in Live Action is exactly what I need in my life haha!

But I digress, this movie was phenomenal in my opinion so I’d like to dive in to some of the lessons I learned from this movie.

Superhero Inspiration – Accept The Things You Can’t Change And Move Forward

In this version of the movie, we finally get a proper origin story for Cyborg.

Here we can clearly see that Victor Stone is destined for Football greatness, but internally, whether he realizes it or not, he just wants to be acknowledged by his father.

As we continue watching, we learn that his father truly did love him, but he gave his time more to his job and did not spend enough time with his son.

This lead to a certain level of resentment and even hate from Victor towards his dad.

Then when the accident occurred and Victor’s dad used the mother box to save him, there was no going back.

Victor wanted to go back to who he was so badly, but it couldn’t happen.

As time went on, Victor realized that he couldn’t change himself back and eventually he started to learn what new abilities he had and how to use them.

In the end, he learned to accept the things that he could not change and to focus on the things that he could.

By doing so, he was able to move forward and begin to embrace his new greatness and the new chance at life that he now has.

Superhero Inspiration – Miracles Can Happen so Trust and Believe

So it was wild in this movie, but essentially Superman had died and we all know that when death happens, it is usually the end.

However, in this world they were able to use the motherbox to bring Superman back.

Now we all have different lives and experiences, but seeing this part of the movie actually hit me in a spot in my heart.

So I’m going to make this clear that it takes a bit to get me emotional because I’m a pretty calm and straightforward guy.

Definitely nothing soft about me, but this part of the movie got me. If a show hits on my family or my goals and ambitions, they can hit me in a weird spot and I have to deal with it.

In this instance, Superman dying and coming back to life hit me in a spot in regards to family.

So I’m a really spiritual guy and I know and believe without a shadow of a doubt that God is the head of my life and guides me so when this event happened to me, my faith was solidified forever.

At this time I was about 14 or 15 and my little brother was about 4 or 5 so I won’t go into graphic details, but essentially he had a major asthma attack and while I was holding him in my arms and his body was convulsing, then out of nowhere, his breath and his life completely left his body.

He was gone for what felt like a solid 15 minutes and his body was completely empty and that was the most painful feeling of my life.

Eventually an ambulance came and he was in somewhat of a coma for about 3 days and there was an extended period of time where there was no air coming to his brain.

Luckily, by the grace of God, he came back to us with no issues and he continues to live a normal life to this day.

Ironically enough, his favorite superhero is Superman. I used to fight with him over who was the real Superman in our family, but after that situation back in 2007, I ceded that battle to him because feeling someone die in your arms and then having them come back to life was only something that I thought could happen in comic books and anime.

His life is an example to me of the real life things in comics, anime, and cartoons that can actually happen and it solidified my faith in God.

Superhero Inspiration – Teamwork Makes the Dreamwork

Now, moving back to the last lesson I learned from the movie, which was that teamwork makes the dream work.

The team needed the entire Justice League in order to defeat Steppenwolf and to deter DarkSeid’s invasion.

Yes, individually all of the members of the Justice League are amazing, but together they can become unbeatable.

This lesson not only applies in this movie, but also in our daily lives.

This can be seen in the workplace, in business, sports, or any other avenue where it requires a team to succeed.

Heck, even some solo sports such as Tennis, Boxing, or Wrestling requires a team. If you look at some of the greatest World Champions, their teams include their trainer, nutritionist, attorney, and even their family members.

In order to truly be successful, the team needs to be in one accord with clear communication and their eyes on a common goal.
