Anyone who’s a true fan of the Rock will often relive his historic moments in the WWF (World Wrestling Federation) now known as the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment).
No matter what industry the Rock was a part of whether it was football, wrestling, and now entertainment, he’s always found a way to dominate the competition.
As The Most Electrifying Man in All of Sports Entertainment and one of the highest grossing actors in recent years, the Rock continues to remain at the forefront of the entertainment industry.
Success Tips – Know When To Move On
The Rock’s biggest dream growing up was to become an NFL (National Football League) superstar. As a college athlete, he won an NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) Championship and it seemed that he was destined to be the man in the NFL.
Sometime after winning his NCAA title, the Rock had a brief stint in the Canadian Football League. When the NFL seemed to no longer be a viable option, the Rock declared his intent to become a wrestler like his father and grandfather before him.
Sometimes you have to know when to move on, even if one dream is all you think about, sometimes you have to spend time investing in your other dreams in order to truly experience success.
I know from personal experience that I was the same way with basketball, but as the years went on and I began to deal with ankle injuries, I had to shift my focus to my other dreams.
Success Tips – Be Coachable
When training to become a professional wrestler, the Rock had to be coachable. As a future star in the making, he had to listen to the people that were already performing at a high level and implement their suggestions.
While doing this, he had to work his butt off if he wanted any chance of becoming a great professional wrestler.
Success Tips – Be Yourself
Whether it’s wrestling or acting, the Rock knew how to not only be himself but also how to properly brand himself.
There are a significant amount of celebrities who portray themselves one way, but in actuality, they are completely the opposite.
One great way to make your brand truly stand out is to be yourself. By making your brand who you are, as a marketer or entrepreneur, your business becomes your life… literally!
This can make things significantly easier when working for exposure.
Success Tips – Determine The Correct Time To Branch Out
Once The Rock reached a level of success that he was comfortable with, he decided to branch out.
When one branches out, the previous success you had in your other industry can vastly impact your success in your new industry.
However, to truly be effective, you actually have to be good at whatever it is that you are branching out into.
As a result, The Rock has laid the foundation for many future champion wrestlers turned actors.
However, I personally don’t feel that any others will become as great or reach the level of popularity that he has within the entertainment industry.
